wow, i rarely kill time on the internet anymore. bad for blog, good for life overall— i think we can all agree on that as a fairly certain universal truth. ahhh surfing is a good time user (i was going to say killer, but it seemed kind of morbid). but, this blog isn’t about surfing; it’s about this amazing bar of caramel-filled chocolate i bought at the border.

there are tons of toads here. i first saw them in numbers headed to Cocal for a concert at night. then i realized they were all over when loading up all the collected recycle (from the whole town) and they were burrowed all over beneath the bags of stuff. huge toads, like, big enough to where i debated eating eating one. heh heh. just kidding … if it were a frog, then yeah maybe. so first i...

Karaw! Karaw!
sounds like a bird, no? WRONG. well, right, but it also sounds like the infamous Tico call so often heard ‘round town here in Pavones. KARAW!
right now i’m a complete novice at so many things. i’m eating rice and beans everyday, but metaphorically, i snack on humble pie every few hours. between spanish, surfing, and fishing i’m quite the freshman. but i’d like to...
